Who is Papa John? Papa John is John Schnatter, founder of Papa John’s Pizza. Papa John’s Pizza is an American Pizza chain built on the promise of “Better Ingredients. Better Pizza.”

Last September 6, 2010, I got invited to cover the Papa John’s Pizza Press Briefing at Shangri-La Makati Quezon Ballroom. The event is very fun and full of expectations as Papa John announces its first pizza restaurant to be available in the Philippines! Yep, you read it right! Filipinos can now experience better pizzas with Papa John’s Pizza’s better ingredients. Hint: It will be opening soon :P Papa John’s arrival in the country promises to provide a fresh, scrumptious dining experience. Papa John’s is set to open stores in major malls in Metro Manila and near residential and commercial business districts, offering both dine-in and delivery service. Filipinos who stay in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, China and other Asian countries all have a great experience at Papa John’s and now they – along with their friends and loved ones – can enjoy dining at Papa John’s in the Philippines.

Papa John’s Pizza is the world’s third largest pizza restaurant. It has around 720 branches internationally. Papa John’s Pizza has a centralized production of their ingredients per location. From their fresh vegetables to their hand-tossed original dough and fresh-packed tomato sauce, Papa John’s proves its commitment to providing a menu that’s prepared with only the finest ingredients. Even their cheese is crafted from 100% mozzarella and high-quality milk, giving it a mild and delicate, yet-full-bodied, flavour.

I’m really excited to taste Papa John’s pizzas! I bet it’s super yaaaa-haaaa-meeeee! Even Filipinos abroad who have tried Papa John’s Pizza swear by its mouth-watering taste. I am also eager to check out their store interior. At the event, it was mentioned that Papa John’s interior will be simple, bold and fresh. Aside from this, it will also create an ambiance of intimacy, which I find very good and I know every visit at Papa John’s will be a unique dining experience. Diners can look forward to dining in a warm and welcoming environment. The comprehensive menu will offer Papa John’s signature pizzas like the best-selling “Super Papa’s”, “All The Meats”, and “Pepperoni”, there will also be pasta dishes, baked rice and other signature side items like Cheesesticks and Breadsticks, chicken wings and chicken strips. Whew! I’m hungry right now!
