Chocolate Beehive Meringue

For our free recipe of the day, we have Chocolate Beehive Meringue.



Indredients:
200g
Anchor Unsalted Butter
280ml
Anchor Fresh Milk Regular
200g
Cake flour
1c
Cocoa powder
8Tbsp
Baking powder
1tsp
Salt
140g
White Sugar
140g
Light brown sugar
2Tbsp
Vanilla
3 pcs
Eggs
8 pcs
Egg whites
1/2 tsp
Cream of tartar
1 1/2c
White Sugar
1c
Chocolate, melted

Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Put muffin paper in muffin pans. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, sift the cake flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, cream the butter and white and brown sugar till well combined. Add vanilla and eggs. Alternately add the sifted flour mixture and the Fresh milk.
  3. Fill in the muffin cups with the cake mixture till ¾ full. Bake for 25-30mins or until done.
  4. Set aside to cool while preparing the meringue.
  5. In a clean bowl or using a mixer,  place the eggwhites and cream of tartar then whisk till light and frothy about 3 minutes. Add the sugar gradually till mixture is stiff and glossy. Put mixture in a piping bag with round tip then pipe over the chocolate cake starting from the bottom going up to form a beehive. Bake in the oven or broiler till tops are light brown.
  6. When cooled, drizzle melted chocolate of top, letting it flow on the sides of the meringue. Makes 12-15.
